Alliance +Program
Springboard for outstanding Alliance junior research group leaders to professorships
The Alliance +Program supports outstanding junior research group leaders at the end of their first third-party-funded phase by extending their research group for up to three years. The funding gives awarded junior research group leaders more time to strengthen their scientific profiles, advance their own research in the Alliance and apply for professorships.
Application
Please note that the program is highly competitive. Successful applicants receive up to 250.000 euros per year for a period of up to three years. Funding can be used for the applicant’s own position and additional positions (postdoc, technician, other), as well as for material and travel expenses.
The Alliance has a particular interest in promoting junior group leaders who drive projects with strong transfer potential to foster the utilization of research results in medical applications, diagnostic and therapeutic agents and medical devices. The Alliance funds basic science and applied research projects in the fields of cancer research, cardiovascular research, neuropsychiatric diseases, genomics, synthetic immunology, molecular engineering, medical technologies, and novel applications of AI approaches in health research and the life sciences.
Application is open to independent Junior Group Leaders at Alliance institutions only.
