Alliance@BUGA
Why does our body need iron, and what are the consequences of iron deficiency? What options does modern cancer therapy offer? Is an outbreak of malaria in today's Mannheim conceivable? Or have you always wanted to see what your brain waves look like?
You can explore these and many other fascinating topics at the booth of the Health + Life Science Alliance Heidelberg Mannheim.
Get to know the Alliance and its partner research institutions. Discover current research approaches, participate in our interactive activities, and engage in discussions with our researchers.

Family Participation Station (DKFZ)
A "Participation Station" in the form of a giant HPV virus allows children to learn about vaccination and cancer in a playful way.
How does vaccination work? How do viruses differ, and which organs can HPV affect? Answers to these and many other questions are provided at the mobile participation station, shaped like a giant HPV virus, in a fun and interactive manner.
Children will actively engage and acquire knowledge about vaccination and cancer. Additionally, parents and grandparents will learn how important it is for the younger generation to become familiar with preventive measures.

Information and Consultation Booth of the MHFA First Aiders (ZI):
We believe everyone can help! With the MHFA First Aider course, we train first responders for mental health. This means that laypersons are trained to recognize a variety of mental disorders in those close to them and respond appropriately until professional help is available. Visit our booth at BUGA 23 if you want to learn how you can get involved as a mental health first aider. We look forward to seeing you!
